upcoming NLP conferences in 2010

My preference is AAAI>EMNLP/COLING/ECAI>PRICAI/CICLING.

Note that I will update their deadlines of paper submission as soon as possible :D.

    hi, Vu.
    If you're still a postgraduate stu in SoC, you should know that Emnlp is rank1 and Naacl is rank2.
    Anyway, naacl is better than emnlp in spite of the rank list of SoC.

    Hi there,
    Thanks for pointing this out. However, according to some international conference rankings, NAACL seems to be better than EMNLP. I did not follow the SoC conference rankings.

    I also agree that EMNLP is far better than NAACL, given its low acceptance rate.

    One possible way to examine the ranking is to check who are publishing on those conferences. For example, Michael Collins publishes on ACL and EMNLP a lot, but never in NAACL:

    I respect your opinion. But I did not find out any comparison between EMNLP and NAACL. When reading papers of NAACL or EMNLP, I found that papers of NAACL seem to be better than ones of EMNLP. Anyway, just my opinion.

    Hey what you people thin about Cicling? Is it a good conference. It publishes paper in LNCS journal and has 20% around acceptance rate

    CICLING has a lower ranking than other top conferences like ACL, EMNLP, NAACL, CoNLL, COLING, EACL, or even IJCNLP.
